Sneak Peek: Adorable Mylee | Boston Portrait Photographer

Meet adorable Mylee! She's 8.5 months young, super smart and as curious as a cat. I was lucky to meet Mylee the day after she was born, as she entered the world several weeks early, weighing a mere 5 lbs. She's come a long way and is growing quite fast.

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Mylee's mom yesterday to do some pictures in Boston's Public Garden. The morning was beautiful, with crisp air after a rainstorm. Mylee settled right in! Here are a few pictures of our session together.

Sneak Peak: Annabelle, Lily, Buddy and Johnny Cash | Boston Pet Photographer

I blogged about my new friend Johnny Cash. Well, meet his buddies, Buddy, Annabelle and Lily. I spend an afternoon with these amazing dogs and want to share a few of each. Annabelle and Lily (golden retrievers) are not sisters, but are from the same breeder and are super friendly. Buddy is a beautiful black lab and loves to play although he's not a super fan of the camera. And finally, Johnny Cash (pug). My goodness, does he love the camera, although he was afraid of my lens hood, so I ditched it.

UNACCUSTOMED TO MY NAME | Off-Broadway show 7/23-8/2

Meet Marta Rainer, my first year college roommate. While at Wellesley, amongst our circle of friends, we always commented we'd see Marta performing on Broadway one day. Well, the day has come - she will be performing her show one-woman show UNACCUSTOMED TO MY NAME in an Off-Broadway production July 23rd - August 2nd produced by Full Circle Theatre. Having seen this play probably 5 times now, I can say that I love it even more each time I see it. I look forward to seeing this production during this run!

Happy Belated 4th of July! | Boston Photographer

For those of you in the Northeast you know how miserable the weather has been. We got incredibly lucky with beautiful weather on July 4th, 5th, and even today! Rain is expected to come back by this Wednesday! Well, Jay (my husband) and I ventured out to Cape Cod to hang out with our friend Sara (and her BF Tim and another couple friends of theirs). We had a full house with their dogs, Sara's Johnny Cash & Buddy and Tim's Annabelle and Lilly. More pictures to come of the full photo session we did, but I wanted to share one with my new Best Friend, Johnny Cash, taken by Jay. Johnny Cash is an adorable pug, with a great yet obstinate personality. By the end of the evening Johnny Cash had forgotten I had chased him down in his attempt to run away earlier.

This past Sunday I was the lucky photographer to meet *21* beautiful babies and toddlers for a Portrait Party hosted by Melissa at Lynch Park in Beverly, MA. While the day was long and included both sunshine and mini-tornado at the end with branches flying by us, it was a wonderful success. Thanks again to all the parents who brought their kids out for the sessions and a special thank you to Melissa for hosting and planning this event.

Rocco & Lina were surprised this past weekend with a Renewal of Vows ceremony and celebration put together by their wonderful children and grandchildren. The celebration wasn't a complete surprise, but they were left in the dark as to the details of the day. Little did they know it was a big and formal affair!

Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles 4/17/09

The Red Sox vs. Orioles game ended on Friday with a 10-8 victory. Apparently it was record attendance at Fenway Park. Here are a few snapshots from the game. Enjoy!

Matt's Surprise Birthday Party | Boston Event Photographer

When Kate, Matt's wife, asked me if I would be interested in photographing her husband's surprise birthday party, I was very intrigued. I was even more interested when she mentioned that she was having an 80s theme to the party and wanted to make it a night to remember for Matt. Well, I think Matt was surprised when he got there. Here are some long overdue photos from our vacation to Aruba in September. We stayed at the Radisson and enjoyed the grounds as well as all the geckos and iguanas. We also saw a wedding on the beach while we were there and enjoyed a snorkeling trip! These pictures are a mix of my point-and-shoot and my DSLR.

Longwood Symphony Orchestra

I was fortunate enough to work with Boston's Longwood Symphony Orchestra during the month of August. I photographed several rehearsals, their concert at Walnut Hill School, and their performance on August 20th, at the Hatch Shell in Boston. Lainey Schulbaum and Philip Doyle recorded the audio and mixed the soundtrack to two movies we put together.

Many of you may not realize that this talented group of musicians have a day job - most of them are in the medical field. We put together two interviews of the Orchestra's members, Dr. Lisa Wong and Dr. Dany Krause.
